Lumos Networks Delivers 1 Gigabit Broadband Internet to Alleghany Highlands Customers
WAYNESBORO, Va -- Lumos Networks Corp. (“Lumos Networks” or the “Company”) (Nasdaq:LMOS), a fiber-based service provider of data, voice and IP-based telecommunication services in the Mid-Atlantic region, today announced it is now providing residential and small business customers in Alleghany County with 1 Gigabit per second (Gbps) broadband speed. The 1 Gig speed profile will be the fastest speed available in the Alleghany Highlands market.

The higher speed profiles will allow residential customers to enjoy their multitude of devices and broadband applications seamlessly while small business owners will be able to download vital documents and access data at a much higher speeds.

The 1Gig offering is initially available to fiber to the premise customers Alleghany Highlands market and plans are being developed to further rollout offering into other Fiber to the Premise (FTTP) areas served by Lumos Networks.
